In the picturesque Norwegian town of Gjerdrum, the local authorities are expanding the senior care center. In addition to using environmentally friendly materials such as wood and stone, the investor decided to incorporate photovoltaic solutions. Beyond conventional rooftop photovoltaics, the designers decorated the gable walls with solar artwork produced by ML System. These murals create decorative spatial effects and, most importantly, generate electricity.
The Scandinavian market is a very special one for us. The great creativity, attention to detail, and environmentally conscious approach of local authorities and designers present us with new challenges and allow us to deliver projects we can proudly showcase.

The logistics center building of the well-known Swedish grocery chain ICA has gained an additional floor. The architects decided to implement an active photovoltaic mosaic. On the sunlit walls of the first floor, a mural composed of square patterns in various shades of gray was created, supplying the building with clean, renewable energy.

The project was completed with great success. Residents can enjoy an attractive mural that serves as a photovoltaic façade, providing significant operational savings.

The residential building in Gothenburg underwent a thermal renovation. An additional goal was to achieve energy savings through the use of photovoltaics. Designers from the Afry office utilized the well-sunlit side façade of the building for this purpose. The mural’s color scheme was defined and supervised by the City Architect of Gothenburg. On the renovated building, a colorful, energy-active mural now produces free solar electricity.
