ML SYSTEM STRENGTHENED ITS POSITION AS A BIPV LEADER IN 2025

In 2025, European construction markets showed strong demand for customized BIPV solutions.

Thanks to its extensive experience, broad technical capabilities, and a portfolio of unique reference projects, ML System signed a record number of contracts.

ML System signed significant contracts in new European markets, including:

- Greece – Medical Centers in Thessaloniki, Komotini and Sparta,
- Austria – a prestigious high-rise building located in central Vienna (DC2),
- Slovenia – delivery of customized BIPV solutions for the railway station building in Ljubljana, made possible thanks to the company’s experience in the railway sector.

New markets also included France, Spain, and the exotic island of Bali. Meanwhile, in Germany and the Scandinavian countries, ML System continues to strengthen its market position by securing new orders for the supply of BIPV products.

BIPV PROJECTS 2025

BIPV PROJECTS 2025

In 2025, we completed and secured a record number of international projects, including in new markets for our company. Each contract involves specialized BIPV solutions, developed in cooperation with designers, investors, and heritage conservation authorities. We are consistently building ML System’s brand recognition and strengthening our presence in foreign markets. This aligns with the company’s growth strategy, which focuses on standardizing innovative solutions that address the requirements of the EPBD Directive for buildings across many European countries.

The year 2025 marked a period of international expansion for ML System, while also bringing new challenges related to obtaining approvals for the use of our products in new markets. To meet the highest customer expectations, we are acquiring additional certifications in line with local standards. An interesting example from the Greek market is the IEC 60068-2-68 standard for environmental testing, which specifies methods for assessing the impact of airborne dust and sand on electrical products, helping to evaluate their resistance to these factors.

Sylwester Korzeniak,
Project Director

The Scandinavian market, where we have been present for over five years, is particularly important to us. The strong environmental focus of investors and designers enables us to take on new challenges in delivering advanced photovoltaic design solutions. An important aspect is also that decisions regarding the implementation of BIPV are made at the governmental level. The Parliament of the Kingdom of Norway has approved a requirement to use solar cells or locally generated energy in all new government construction projects. In Sweden, Denmark, and Finland, the EPBD Directive on the energy performance of buildings is being effectively implemented. Norway’s national plan also includes the modernization of all existing public buildings with the integration of BIPV technology.

ML System has established a strong position in Germany as a provider of photovoltaics as a substitute for traditional building materials (Building Integrated Photovoltaics, BIPV). The use of our products in buildings such as ING in Frankfurt, the Sparkasse Bank Headquarters in Munich, and IGH in Bonn allows us to look at this important project market with optimism.

In the past year, we also began collaboration on the prestigious DC2 skyscraper project in Vienna and supplied BIPV products for the headquarters of Endigo in Switzerland. Another major achievement is the signing of a contract for the Elithis high-rise building in Mulhouse, France. This was made possible by meeting the stringent French standards for fire protection parameters for ML System products.

Sales & Project Manager, ML System

A new market for ML System is Spain. We signed a contract to supply BIPV products for the prestigious Madinat al-Zahra Museum building in Córdoba. Thanks to the efforts of our international team, we obtained the necessary approvals and permits and validated all technical aspects of the proposed solutions. A particular challenge was that the building is under the supervision of the Spanish heritage conservation authorities. The photovoltaic roof covering for the museum is scheduled for delivery in March 2026.

In 2025, we secured our first orders in Greece. These include three modern medical centers in Komotini, Sparta, and Thessaloniki, totaling over 17,500 m² of BIPV products, making it the largest BIPV contract in Europe. The project was designed by the renowned architectural firm Renzo Piano, with AVAX – one of Greece’s oldest and largest construction companies – serving as the general contractor.
