ML System as a strategic partner of the international conference on the future of the energy industry

One of the most important events in the energy industry – the 6th Scientific Conference “Energy security – pillars and development perspective” will be held on September 13-14, 2021 at the Rzeszów University of Technology. ML System is a strategic partner and the conference is supported by NATO. The organizer of the event is the Ignacy Łukasiewicz Institute of Energy Policy.

All the most important topics related to the future of energy, not only in Poland, but also in the world, will be discussed during the 6th Scientific Conference “Energy security – pillars and development perspective”. In addition to the plenary sessions attended by key representatives, incl. the world of science, public administration, entrepreneurs and non-governmental organizations. There will also be numerous thematic sessions on, among others, building-integrated photovoltaic systems (BIPV), the role of low-dimensional quantum materials in new technologies and hydrogen in the future energy mix.

The directions of development of the energy sector are crucial today when we think about the future not only of the country or region, but the whole world. Therefore, the space for the exchange of experiences and discussions about it is very important. I am glad that for the last six years the most important representatives of the energy sector have been meeting in Rzeszów to discuss together the energy transformation not only of Poland, but also of other economies from different parts of the world. Podkarpackie Voivodeship is a good place where on the example of universities in Rzeszów and companies like ML System, you can observe good examples of combining science with business   – comments Dawid Cycoń, the president of ML System, which is the strategic partner of the event.

The special guest of the conference will be Theodor J. Garrish from the United States (former assistant secretary in the Office of International Affairs at the US Department of Energy). Participation in the event has been confirmed by, among others: Dr. Piotr Naimski (Government Plenipotentiary for Strategic Energy Infrastructure), Ireneusz Zyska (Secretary of State, Government Plenipotentiary for Renewable Energy Sources), Zbigniew Gryglas (Undersecretary of State, MAP Plenipotentiary for Offshore Energy Development Wiatrowa) and dr hab. Marcin Warchoł (Secretary of State in the Ministry of Justice).

A special thematic panel dedicated to the role of photovoltaics integrated with construction (BIPV) will be attended by representatives of the world’s largest companies producing and distributing glass, including for the construction and automotive industries: Guardian Glass, Pilkington Glass and Saint-Gobain. There will be also a representative of the accredited European certification body Kiwa from Italy. Each of them will present their vision of the development of the glass industry for the needs of BIPV and its role in the energy transformation of buildings, bearing in mind, inter alia, “European green deal” or Zero Energy Bulidings. Guardian Glass and Pilkington Glass are strategic partners of ML System SA.

The key topic for the scientific community will be innovative quantum materials and nanostructures on a global scale, already referred to as the “future of energy”, and which will play a major role in the energy transformation of many countries around the world. – adds Dawid Cycoń, President of ML System.

The conference will be held in a hybrid formula (stationary and on-line). Stationary participants will have the opportunity to make a non-invasive and quick test for the presence of SARS-CoV-2 virus using the COVID DETECTOR diagnostic device.
